Oprah on Obama’s acceptance speech:
"I cried my eyelashes off," she said in the bowels of Invesco Field, moments after Obama accepted the nomination for president before an estimated 84,000 people.
I suppose Oprah can say she’s not your ordinary woman. Other women pass out in Obama’s presence.
"I think it’s the most powerful thing I have ever experienced," she added.
How sad that one of the richest women in the world would report that Obama’s speech was the most powerful thing she’s ever experienced. Nothing compares to God’s power which we have great evidence of. Looking out at the night’s sky or holding a newborn babe and realizing that these are God’s handiwork is breathtaking enough to render a person speechless. How is it possible to view such wonders as the Grand Canyon or Niagara Falls and not be awestruck? It might even bring a tear to your eye.
Unfortunately, Oprah will never have enough money to buy her salvation so that she can experience a power much, much more powerful than any speech any man (or woman) could give. Fortunately for us, salvation is 100% free!
