Tonight from 8:00 pm to 9:00 pm your local time, is Earth Hour 2008. The environmental wackos would like you to turn your lights out this hour to make “a statement about climate change.” (Notice how they’re not using the term “global warming” anymore.)
We, however, plan to make our own statement. From 8:00 to 9:00 pm, we will have all of our lights (inside and out) on. We have a little spotlight that we plan to dig out of the garage also. The blinds will be open for all to see. We’ll also turn on the television and any other appliance that can be noticed from the street. We’ll do our best to use all the juice everyone else won’t be using during that hour.
